HIGH ROPE COURSES

We provide A to Z services

Our team is specialized in designing and building high rope courses structures both on natural support (trees) or on artifical support (poles).

The high rope courses (or an adventure park) consists in a series of suspended elements (games) made out of steel cables and wood shapes, which can be climbed by people using a special safety equipment.

The first high rope courses elements were build in France, in 1875, and they were used as a means of training and physical exercise. Later on, during the 2nd World War, British Army troops used the rope courses as a way of training for combat. In 1941, the German educator Kurth Hahn, started using the high rope courses for educational, recreational and fun purposes, taking it out of the military sphere.

In our times, high rope courses elements are not build for highly trained individuals, climbers or soldiers, but for people with average physical condition and their only purpose is for entertainment and recreation.

When building adventure parks, all the elements made of steel cable and wooden beams must follow the European Standard EN 15567-1-2/2015.

Adventure parks are divided into several categories depending on the anchoring method (trees, poles), the safety belay system used, and where it is located (indoor or outdoor).

How we work

Adventure park types can be divided by:

1. The height at which the rope courses are built (the games):

  • Park with low elements – all the elements are built at a height of 0.5 – 1m above the ground, and the safety belay system (more of a tehnique) used is called „spotting”.
  • Park with elements at a certain height – all the elements are built at a height of over 0.5 – 1m. The safety belay system used for this type of parks can be of various types. You can find out more in the safety belay systems page.

2. The way of building the rope courses:

  • Parks build on an artifical structure, which can be mobile (can be transported and reassembled at another location) or fixed (the structure can’t be dismantled and transported to another location).
  • Forest parks, build on different species of trees and other natural formations.

Forest adventure park

Adventure parks are most often built on a natural support (trees in a forest), offering customers the posibility of exercising outside. Through the method in which the elements are mounted on the trees creates a unique, thrilling sensation, reminding us of when we were children playing through trees and gardens.

The forest based adventure parks we have built preserve the integrity and health of the trees, and they can continue to grow normally, without any hindering.

Adventure park – on poles

Even though these adventure parks are not mounted on trees, they can provide the same thrilling feeling.

The safety measures follow the same rules and guidelines as the adventure parks built on trees, the only difference being the surronding environment and the artificial support system on poles.

Adventure park – mobile

Mobile adventure parks are made up of structures specially created to be easily assembled/disassambled in order to be transported to different events and locations.

Very much alike forest adventure parks, mobile ones contain various elements, with different levels of difficulty. They are an ingenious solution and can add a unique note to any event or fair.
